1970's TOA DM-805U / Audio Technica dynamic cardioid microphone w accessories

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a excellent sounding 1970's / 1980's era T. A brand DM-805U model dynamic cardioid microphone that has very strong output and set at Low Z making this a good choice for singing and broadcasting purposes.

It comes with the mic clip, cable and 1/4 inch adapter shown. A was an obscure and very high quality Japanese brand microphone company that seemed to be around sometime around the 1960's to 1980's. It was made in Japan back Japan was making some of the finest dynamic cardioid mics around. It has a rugged metal construction a powerful and very smooth sounding element set at low impedance having a warm tone with just the right amount of bass.

The blue grey finish gives the mic a very classy appeal as well. This is a studio quality mic that will do any user justice. It's uni-directional as well. It's appx 6 1/2 inches long X 2 inches wide.

This DM-805U itself is very nice with just very lite wear on the original finish of this mic but it's free of any dents or fractures and comes with an on / off switch that works perfectly. The front screen is metal and free of any dents, odors or heavy tarnish.

Original inner pop filter / foam was replaced as it had fallen apart. The new filter is in excellent shape and will last for decades. A label shows no wear and completely legible. The XLR pins on this mic have been cleaned to ensure a perfect signal once a cable is attached. Mic takes a standard XLR cable which is included. The cable is appx 22 feet in length and in perfect physical and operating condition. It has the quality Cannon female & Switchcraft male XLR connectors. More than enough room to work with. There is a an Archer adapter included that you can attach to the male XLR end connector. This Archer adapter will allow you to use this mic with any high Z input guitar amplifier or other audio equipment. A nice accessory that works perfectly. The mic comes with a quality mic clip that grips the mic very well and will screw onto any stand you happen to have.

The clip pivots accordingly with adjustable tension. You will not be disappointed in this T. Overall I would rate this mic a cosmetic 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. If you want something a little different that will sound amazing at any gig... The DM-805U is the right choice and it's priced very reasonably for such a great sounding mic.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY... NOT PART OF THIS SALE. As with all my vintage microphone and related items.. International buyers are welcome as well.
