1960's Customized Mini RCA 77 Style Pill Microphone, upgraded audio, withstand-2

Offering a 1960's pill microphone customized with RCA Styling. These Calrad mics were clearly designed to mimic the famous RCA 77, but on a smaller scale about 1/2 size. They were wildly popular for the home consumer, but unfortunately came with cheap tinny-sounding crystal elements.

The sound never equaled "the look", so in this case, we removed the crystal capsules and installed a high quality directional Heil Pro Line capsule which GREATLY improves the fidelity. I'd say it's "broadcast quality" or even recording studio quality. Adding the customized RCA wrap-around band further enhances the "RCA look". We also replaced the stiffened cable with new 5' shielded cable to 1/4 male phono plug. If you prefer XLR, we can make that swap.

Hese mics emulate the larger brother. RCA 77, and continue to be. Highly sought after and prized for their stunningly iconic looks. Included is the display desk stand.
